Consumer gasoline prices in Russia did not change in February

Consumer gasoline prices in Russia in February 2024 did not change compared to January 2024, producer prices increased by 12.2%. This was reported by Rosstat.

An increase in consumer prices for automobile gasoline by 0.1% or more was noted in 31 regions of the Russian Federation, most notably in the Kamchatka Territory (+3%). A decrease in prices for automobile gasoline was recorded in 11 regions of the Russian Federation. Most of all – in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (-2.6%). In Moscow and St. Petersburg, prices for gasoline have not changed over the past period.

Producer prices for automobile gasoline on average have become 12.2% higher. Gasoline has become more expensive in 12 regions of the Russian Federation. Most of all, prices for it increased in the Astrakhan region – by 30.4%, the Tyumen Region – by 29.3%, Moscow – by +27.2%, the Nizhny Novgorod Region – by 23.3%, the Perm Region – by 22.9%. A decrease in prices was noted in the Saratov Region (-15.7%), the Irkutsk Region (-8.9%), and the Ryazan Region (-7.7%). In the Krasnodar Territory and the Sakhalin Region, prices for automobile gasoline remained at the level of January 2024.

Consumer prices for automobile gasoline on average in the Russian Federation exceeded producer prices by 2.8 times. Producer prices for oil increased by 3.5%, tariffs for its pumping by pipeline transport – by 1.6%.
