Turnover in all sections of the St. Petersburg International Commodity Exchange (SPbMTSB) in the first quarter of 2024 amounted to 488 billion rubles, which is 58.4% higher than in the same period last year. This is stated in the message of the exchange.
The number of bidders and their clients increased to 6,592 thousand from 5,603 thousand a year earlier.
On the exchange market of petroleum products, the growth in trading volume amounted to 23.6% compared to the same period in 2023, and natural gas – 52.8% in physical terms.
In the section "Timber and building materials", trading volumes increased by 28.4%, "Mineral raw materials and chemical products" - by 5.1 times, "Agricultural products and bioresources" - by 37 times, "Energy carriers" - by 161.6 times.
