The Bank of Russia has extended restrictions on the transfer of funds abroad for another six months, until September 30, 2024. This is stated in the message of the regulator.

Russian citizens and non—resident individuals from friendly countries will still be able to transfer no more than $1 million or the equivalent in another foreign currency to any accounts in foreign banks within a month.

There are limits on transfers through money transfer systems — no more than $ 10 thousand per month or the equivalent in another foreign currency. The transfer amounts are determined according to the official exchange rate of foreign currencies to the ruble on the date the bank receives the transaction order.

Natural persons who are non—residents of both friendly and unfriendly countries working in the Russian Federation can transfer funds abroad in the amount of wages.

A ban on the transfer of funds abroad remains in place for non—resident individuals not working in the Russian Federation from unfriendly countries, as well as for legal entities from such states.

This restriction does not apply to foreign companies that are controlled by Russian legal entities or individuals.

Banks from unfriendly states can transfer funds in rubles using correspondent accounts opened with Russian credit institutions if the payer and recipient's accounts are opened with foreign banks.
