The FAS has approved the petition of "Unifrost" on the acquisition of the Meridian Group of companies. This is stated in the message of the service.
The FAS has considered the fish and seafood distributor's application for consent to purchase 100% of shares of Meridian JSC, 100% of shares of Meridian Trading House LLC, 100% of shares of Meridian Trading LLC.
According to the service, the deal will not limit competition in the food market.
Unifrost is a supplier of fish and seafood. The company has been in existence since 2004, and its head office is located in St. Petersburg. The sole owner of the company is Anna Romanova. The revenue of Unifrost LLC in 2024 amounted to 45.5 billion rubles, an increase of 44.2% year-on-year. Net profit increased by 88.6%, reaching 3.4 billion rubles.
Meridian exists on the basis of the Soviet enterprise of the same name, specializing in fish processing, producing mainly preserves and ready meals. These are products under the brands Meridian, Milegrin, Miramar and Fish Market. The main beneficiary of the business is Vladimir Malakhov. The total revenue of Meridian JSC, Meridian Trading House LLC and Meridian Trading LLC in 2024 amounted to 13.7 billion rubles. Year-on-year, the value increased by 12.5%. Net profit decreased by 58.3% to 468.6 million rubles.
