RTK-Service performed a complete recalculation of the optical budget of the DWDM network without vendor involvement, reducing the risk of losing a dozen terabytes of traffic. This is stated in the message of Rostelecom.
The integrator's engineers analyzed more than 300 segments of the telecom operator's backbone and regional network, increased its operational reserve and practically reduced failures associated with unstable equipment to zero.
The engineers managed to significantly increase the stability of the telecom operator's network on their own, without the participation of the Nokia vendor. In particular, the operating margin, taking into account the long-term use of the equipment, increased to 60-70%, and the number of failures of the DWDM network associated with operation at the maximum optical power levels of high-speed highways decreased to almost zero.
