Rigla, a member of Vadim Yakunin's Protek Group, is negotiating the purchase of the united pharmacy chain Minitzen Pharmacies and Novaya Pharmacy. Two sources close to both companies told Vedomosti about this.

The deal, they said, is at an advanced stage. According to one of the interlocutors, the contour may include 282 pharmacies located in all subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District (Far Eastern Federal District), with the exception of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. The deal is already under approval by the Federal Antimonopoly Service, one of the sources said.

A representative of Rigla told Vedomosti that the company is negotiating a merger with a pharmacy chain. According to him, the current deal is the implementation of a strategy to increase Rigla's presence in the Far East.

None of the interlocutors names the amount of the transaction.

Novaya Drugstore (the main entity is Superfarma LLC) and Minitsen Pharmacies (Avers Pharmacy Minitsen LLC) belong to Igor and Artyom Zhukovich (48% and 22%, respectively), as well as Igor Boyarkin (30%).

Rigla was established in 2001 and unites about 3.7 thousand pharmacies in 58 regions of Russia. Its outlets operate under the brands "Be Healthy", "Rigla", "Zhivika" and "Zdravcity pharmacy" (an online service for ordering medicines).
