National Immunobiological Company (Nacimbio) has started this year's supplies of the flu vaccine to Russian regions as part of the national preventive vaccination campaign, Rostec informed.

Under the effective public contracts, Nacimbio will have supplied 34 million doses of domestic preventive drugs for children and adults to the Russian regions by the time the annual mass flu vaccination campaign starts in early autumn.

Nacimbio has been supplying vaccines for mass flu immunization since 2015. According to Russia's Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor), the broader vaccination significantly curbs the flu scale in Russia; for example, in 2018, the number of cases decreased by more than 24% against the previous year.
