The government commission approved the sale of IKEA plants in Russia. The buyers were two large domestic furniture manufacturers — the Slotex company and the lumber manufacturer Luzales. Izvestia writes about this with reference to the deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Viktor Yevtukhov.
The capacities left by IKEA will continue to function in the country, the products of these enterprises will be sold in domestic retail chains.
Further, the Russian and Swedish sides will have to conduct a transaction, its amount is not disclosed.
IKEA has suspended sales in IKEA stores, online store and Studios in Russia since March 4, 2022. On July 5, the company launched the sale of goods on its website for everyone, which lasted until August 15. Later, Yandex Market opened sales of goods purchased from the Russian division of IKEA.
