A division of Goldman Sachs Asset Management has invested $50 million in the Swiss AI company BLP Digital and plans to buy out shareholders. This is reported in a Goldman Sachs press release.

Goldman Sachs expects an increase in demand for financial transactions with AI, taking into account the desire to increase efficiency and control over cash flows and working capital. Investors are showing increasing interest in using AI in core corporate functions.

Over the past 20 years, Goldman Sachs Alternatives has invested $13 billion in fast-growing technology companies.

Despite the fact that Switzerland has not yet had such large-scale funding rounds in the field of technology as in the United States or some European countries, Swiss companies have achieved success in the so-called sovereign artificial intelligence — the creation of systems and infrastructure under local control. In particular, in 2026, the initial capital was raised for the ETH-Alpine AI transaction.

BLP Digital is based on the Swiss Higher Technical School of Zurich and was mainly funded by its own funds. The company's technology includes the use of AI agents to solve the tasks of processing accounts and closing financial transactions, replacing outdated tools (optical character recognition and robotic processes).

Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. is an American multinational investment bank and financial company. The headquarters is located in New York (USA) with regional offices in international financial centers.

BLP Digital is a Swiss artificial intelligence company and a subsidiary of ETH Zurich that automates ERP processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual work (billing and internal reporting). The headquarters is located in Zurich (Switzerland).
