GEROPHARM and the Karaganda Pharmaceutical Complex signed a long-term contract on localization of the production of analog insulin glargine at a concentration of 300 IU/ml in Kazakhstan. This was reported by HEROPHARM.
Under the terms of the contract, the Russian company's contribution will be the transfer of insulin production technology, and the Kazakh company will invest in the necessary modernization of the site.
The filling and packaging stages will be localized at the plant of the Karaganda Pharmaceutical Complex, the insulin substance will be supplied from the GEROPHARM production in St. Petersburg. It is planned to release the first commercial product by the end of 2024.
