Geropharm has received permission from the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation to conduct phase 1 clinical trials of innovative insulin, which will need to be used no more than once a week. The study will begin in June 2024. This is stated in the company's message.
Geropharm is developing an innovative super-long-acting insulin, the molecule of which contains a modified Fc fragment. The tests, which are planned to begin on the basis of Russia's leading research centers - FSBI "NMIC of Endocrinology" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and GBUZ YAO "Kb No. 3".
The study will involve 90 healthy volunteers and patients with diabetes mellitus. During it, a new drug will be introduced to people for the first time to evaluate pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.
