Consumer prices for automotive gasoline increased by 0.1 in March%

Consumer prices for automotive gasoline in March 2024 increased by 0.1% compared to February 2024, producer prices – by 16.1%. This was reported by Rosstat.

An increase in consumer prices for automobile gasoline by 0.1% or more was noted in 48 regions of the Russian Federation, most notably in the Chechen Republic (+3.9%). A decrease in prices for automobile gasoline was recorded in 7 regions of the Russian Federation. Most of all – in the Magadan region (-0.9%).

In Moscow, over the past period, the price increase for automobile gasoline amounted to 0.1%, in St. Petersburg, prices have not changed.

Producer prices for automotive gasoline on average have become 16.1% higher. Gasoline has become more expensive in almost all regions of the Russian Federation. Prices for it increased the most in the Volgograd Region (+25.3%), Nizhny Novgorod Region (+24.3%), the Republic of Bashkortostan (+21.3%), Moscow (+20.7%), the Komi Republic (+19.8%), Perm Krai (+18.4%). A decrease in prices was noted in the Irkutsk region (-1.9%). In the Sakhalin region, prices for automobile gasoline remained at the level of February 2024.

Consumer prices for automobile gasoline on average in the Russian Federation exceeded producer prices by 2.4 times. Producer prices for oil increased by 8.3%; tariffs for pumping it by pipeline transport decreased by 0.2%.
