As explained by the Executive director of BelVEB Bank Evgeny Cherepovich, whose words are quoted in the message, the status of an authorized bank will significantly expand the bank's capabilities to support Belarusian exporters supplying goods and performing work in the territory of the Russian Federation. The amounts and validity periods of guarantees previously limited by the parameters of the limits set on elVEB by authorized banks have now been significantly increased.
In addition, this decision will contribute to the implementation of the bank's strategic goal for the development of Russian-Belarusian cooperation projects provided for in the updated Strategic Development Plan of the bank for 2022-2024.
In 2022, BelVEB organized the issuance of 14 such guarantees by authorized banks for a total amount of more than 400 million Russian rubles.
