At the 500 kV Lugovaya substation, two relay protection and electroautomatics complexes have been replaced.
Instead of electromechanical relay protection devices, two cabinets of RZA microprocessor devices are installed at Lugovaya substation, designed to detect damage inside the autotransformer and then disconnect the damaged transformer.
The updated equipment has built-in functions of self-diagnosis and registration of emergency events, is characterized by increased accuracy in determining the measured values, compactness and reliability in operation. All this reduces the likelihood of technological disruptions that can lead to power system failures and technological disruptions.
The 500 kV Lugovaya substation provides electricity to the Kondinsky district of KhMAO – Yugra, where over 30 thousand people live, as well as such large consumers as PJSC Lukoil and TNK-BP.
In total, 6 RZA cabinets will be replaced at 2 substations of the Tyumen region by the end of the year: 500 kV "Pyt-Yakh" and 220 kV "Sotnik" substations.
