The Federal Antimonopoly Service has opened a case against Sberbank on grounds of violation of the law "On Advertising". In the Sber advertisement, the essential terms of the contribution were indicated in a font that was difficult to read. This is stated in the message of the FAS.

Earlier, a citizen appealed to the FAS with a complaint about the advertising of the Savings Bank, which was distributed on the air of the St. Petersburg - Channel 5 TV channel. It indicated in large print attractive information for the consumer about the interest rate on the deposit of 16% per annum.

However, data on other conditions, such as the minimum amount and deadline for opening a deposit, as well as restrictions on the use of funds from previously closed deposits, were placed in an explanatory footnote in a difficult-to-read font.

In addition, the footnote stated that such conditions apply only to salary customers who have connected one of the bank's paid services.

Earlier, in February 2024, the antimonopoly service opened a case against the bank for improper advertising of another deposit.
