Inflation in the Russian Federation since the beginning of the year amounted to 2.33%

Consumer prices in the Russian Federation for the week from April 16 to 22 increased by 0.08%, from the beginning of April – by 0.37%, from the beginning of the year – by 2.33%. This was reported by Rosstat.

From April 16 to 22, mutton rose in price by 2.2%, butter – by 0.6%, biscuits – by 0.5%, canned meat, margarine, sour cream, bread – by 0.4%, beef, sterilized milk, hard, semi–hard and soft cheeses, table salt, rice, vodka - by 0.3%, boiled sausages, frozen fish and cottage cheese – by 0.2%.

Prices for fruits and vegetables decreased by 0.5%. In particular, cucumbers became cheaper by 4.3%, onions – by 1.6%, tomatoes – by 1.1%. Beetroot prices increased by 6.6%, white cabbage – by 2%, carrots – by 1.4%, apples – by 1%, bananas – by 0.6%, potatoes – by 0.4%.

Buckwheat groats fell by 0.6%, sunflower oil – by 0.5%, pasta – by 0.3%, wheat flour – by 0.2%, chicken meat, chicken eggs, vermicelli and millet – by 0.1%.

Among non–food essentials, toilet soap became more expensive by 0.3%, washing powders, shampoos and matches - by 0.1%.

Prices decreased: household soap by 0.3%, toothbrushes by 0.2%, toothpastes, dry pet food by 0.1%.

Edged boards became more expensive by 0.6%, chipboard and oriented chipboard - by 0.5%, T–shirts, men's T–shirts – by 0.4%, children's T-shirts and electric vacuum cleaners - by 0.3%.

Prices decreased: for televisions by 0.3%, sneakers for children and smartphones – by 0.2%.

Automobile gasoline and diesel fuel rose in price by 0.1%. Economy class air travel fell by 1%.
