Akron has implemented a "mobile crawler" in the instrumentation and automation service

PJSC Acron in Veliky Novgorod has implemented the next stage of the project for the development of the mobile crawler system "Crawler. Instrumentation and Control Systems" in the service of Instrumentation and Automation (Instrumentation and Control systems), which provides operational monitoring of equipment in production.

The Crawler project. KIPiA" was developed by IT specialists together with the Advanced Engineering School (PISH) of Novgorod State University. The project is part of an integration solution for the development of corporate systems, and is one of the top IT projects of the Acron Group.

The main purpose of the system implementation is to accelerate and simplify the daily functions of the instrumentation and control services maintenance personnel. The implemented solution provides automation of the transmission of collected data, the ability to store and process them in a single system, as well as operational control and analysis of the current state of the equipment. The company's specialists also carried out full integration of the crawler with the ERP ISA.

Sergey Yerofeev, Chief metrologist of the Department of Metrology and Automated Control Systems of PJSC Acron, noted: "The introduction of a mobile crawler into the structure of the repair service will increase the efficiency of decision-making to eliminate equipment defects, and therefore the reliability of the technological equipment as a whole."

Sergey Chebotarev, Director of PISH NovGU noted: "The development of the mobile crawler is a good example of the interaction between the specialists of the PISH laboratories and the employees of our industrial partner Akron. During the development process, the finished product was obtained and important competencies were acquired by our students, who were directly involved in the creation of this software product. This is a unique experience for students during their studies at the University."

Recall that for the first time a mobile solution for operational monitoring of equipment was introduced in 2020 at ammonia plants at two enterprises of the Group — PJSC Akron in Veliky Novgorod and PJSC Dorogobuzh in the Smolensk region.
