Rosenergoatom Concern (the Electric Power Division of Rosatom State Corporation) allocated 6.23 billion rubles for environmental protection in 2023. This was reported by Rosenergoatom.

Of these, 4.87 billion rubles are the current costs of environmental protection and over 1.36 billion rubles went to pay for environmental services.

Every year, the operation of all Russian nuclear power plants (branches of Rosenergoatom) makes it possible to prevent emissions into the atmospheric air of over 100 million tons of greenhouse gases in CO2 equivalent (if a similar amount of electricity were generated by thermal generation).
