The cash turnover in the Russian Federation in 2023 amounted to 123.82 trillion rubles, an increase of 13.7% compared to a year earlier. This is reported in the materials of the Bank of Russia.

The main volume of cash receipts came from trade — 6.8 trillion rubles, which is 1.8% higher than in 2022.

The inflow of cash to the bank accounts of individuals increased by 29% to 9.5 trillion rubles. 11.7 trillion rubles were issued, which also exceeds the previous year's figure by 29%. For credit transactions, cash receipts and disbursements increased by 12% and 48%, respectively, and amounted to 1.1 trillion rubles each.

Moscow is the leader in cash turnover - 27 trillion rubles. This is followed by the Moscow Region – 8.4 trillion rubles, St. Petersburg - 7.9 trillion rubles and Krasnodar Territory – 5.8 trillion rubles.
