Post Bank was fined 600 thousand rubles for distributing inappropriate advertising

The Moscow Regional Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia issued resolutions on the imposition of a fine in cases of administrative offenses against JSC "Post Bank" for a total amount of 600 thousand rubles. This is stated in the message of the service.

Earlier, the Federal Antimonopoly Service received an appeal from a citizen about the receipt of SMS messages on his mobile phone advertising the bank's financial services with signs of violation of the law "On Advertising". Based on the results of consideration of the appeal of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, a case was initiated against the bank on grounds of violation of Part 7 of Article 5, part 1 of Article 18, part 1 and part 3 of Article 28 of the said law.

The Commission of the Moscow Regional Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia recognized the advertising of the bank's financial services as improper, violating the requirements of the law, and decided to transfer materials to bring the bank to administrative responsibility.

Having considered these materials, the FAS came to the conclusion that the bank is guilty of committing administrative offenses provided for in part 6 of Article 14.3 of the Administrative Code.

Pochta Bank is a universal retail bank created by VTB Group and Russian Post in 2016. The Bank is developing a regional network based on Russian Post offices.
