In Russia, from 2026, it is planned to produce more than 100 aircraft of various modifications per year. Decisions on the necessary amount of financing for the industry have been made. This was stated by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin in the State Duma.
Now, according to him, a line of modern aircraft and helicopters is being created. Last year, the aerodynamic tests of the updated Sukhoi Superjet liner were fully completed. Now it will be equipped with Russian fifth-generation PD-8 engines instead of foreign units. Its first flight is planned within the next three months.
In addition, flight tests of prototypes of the regional Il-114 and the Baikal light multipurpose aircraft were successfully conducted. In December, the PD-14 engine and the composite wing on the MS-21 were certified, M. Mishustin stressed.
