Vladimir Putin was elected President of the Russian Federation on March 26, 2000, and was elected President of the Russian Federation for a second term on March 14, 2004. In 2008, he was appointed Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.

In 2012, he was re-elected President of Russia. Following the results of the elections held on March 18, 2018, Vladimir Putin was re-elected President of the Russian Federation.
