The insured came to visit her son in Israel and was injured on the second day. She fell, having suffered a compound fracture of the femoral neck. She was taken to the nearest partner clinic and had a complete hip replacement.
Another similar case occurred with an 87-year-old woman who suffered a hip fracture at her daughter's house. Balt Assistance specialists selected a suitable medical facility where she underwent surgery. During hospitalization, the patient began to have an exacerbation of a chronic disease, and the amount of expenses increased to 35 thousand euros. However, the patient's daughter bought insurance for her in advance with an increased amount of 50 thousand euros. The contract also provided for an additional risk for the treatment of chronic diseases known or existing at the beginning of insurance. Thus, Ingosstrakh's policy fully covered the hospitalization.
In addition, an 87-year-old man was hospitalized in France with a diagnosis of acute renal failure. The tests revealed hypothyroidism – a violation of the functions of the thyroid gland. The treatment cost 6 thousand euros, which were covered by Ingosstrakh.
