The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission extended the zero import duty on terephthalic acid and its salts for two years. This is reported on the EEC website.
The product is terephthalic acid, its salts and esters and is mainly used for the manufacture of polyethylene terephthalate polymers used as raw materials in the production of plastic bottles, films and packaging containers for the food industry.
The EAEU Customs Code establishes an import customs duty rate of 5% of the customs value for this product.
