The Leninsky District Court of Samara found Alexey Saplinov, former Deputy Chairman of the Board of AK Bank, guilty of embezzlement of bank funds worth 64 million rubles. This is stated in the message of the Deposit Insurance Agency, whose application the court certified in full.
A.Saplinov was sentenced to imprisonment for 4 years. The theft of funds is organized by issuing a non-refundable loan to a legal entity.
The Central Bank revoked the license from AK Bank in 2018 due to the fact that its managers carried out operations aimed at withdrawing a significant part of assets, which eventually led to a sharp deterioration in the financial condition of the bank and the inability to fulfill obligations to customers on time.
