By April 23, the catch of aquatic biological resources amounted to 1.78 million tons, which is 2.9% more than the level of 2023. This was reported by Rosrybolovstvo.
The volume of fish and seafood caught in the Northern Basin increased by 11.3% and exceeded 174 thousand tons. More than 11.6 thousand tons (+5.5%) were extracted in the Azov-Black Sea basin.
The increase is maintained during the development of freshwater fish species in the interior of the East Siberian and Baikal basins, the agency notes.
