Specialists of the Troitsk Research & Development Center (operating as part of TechnoSpark Group, a subsidiary of RUSNANO's Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs) have designed an analyzer capable of detecting dangerous viruses, including the new COVID-19 coronavirus, in the surrounding environment and body fluids within 30 minutes, RUSNANO informed.
The device named Indicator-BIO was designed at the request of and in cooperation with the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University. Indicator-BIO can detect up to four pathogens simultaneously using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR), a high-precision molecular genetic diagnostic method.
