Demethanizing column delivered to Amur GPP

A demethanizing column (demethanizer) the biggest equipment of the Amur gas processing plant (GPP), has been delivered to the berth for train 4 of the Amur GPP, according to a statement by Gazprom pererabotka Blagoveshchensk.

"Demechanization is the core of our technology where methane is separated from other valuable fractions. This device generates a pressure of 30 atmospheres and a temperature of -100 degrees Celsius. It is essential that the gas will be processed into high value-added products domestically, at a Russian plant," Yuri Lebedev, CEO of Gazprom pererabotka Blagoveshchensk, commented.

Amur GPP will be one of the world's biggest natural gas processors. With a design capacity of 42 bcm per year, the plant will consist of six production lines, the first two of which will be commissioned in 2021. Besides, natural gas, GPP's other commercial products will include ethane, propane, butane, pentane-hexane fraction and helium.

The lower sales revenue mainly results from a lower revenue from gas sales to Europe and other countries.
