eBay has completed the sale of its StubHub service, the company informed.
The transaction amounts to $4.05 billion.
eBay is the world's largest online auction platform founded in 1995 by U.S. programmer Pierre Omidyar. The company took its present name in 1997. At the end of 2019, it agreed to sell its subsidiary StubHub providing online ticketing services to Viagogo for $4 billion and valued its classifieds business which, according to estimates could be worth $8-12 billion.
