In 2019, grain exports from Crimea exceeded 307,000 tonnes, according to a statement by Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) following an inspection of quarantineable products exported through marine checkpoints.
Among grain products, Crimea mainly exported wheat (210,019 tonnes), barley (97,073 tonnes), mustard (127 tonnes).
The largest volume of grain exports was to the Middle East.
The Rosselkhoznadzor department issued phytosanitary certificates for these quarantineable cargoes indicating that the certified products meet the quarantine phytosanitary requirements of the importing countries.
