A maintenance complex for Airbus airliners will be built at Tyumen airport, according to a statement by Russia's Main State Expert Appraisal Department (Glavgosexpertiza) following examination of the design and estimate documentation for the construction of a hangar complex for the maintenance of two aircraft at Roshchino airport.
A positive opinion was issued as a result of the examination.
Roshchino airport located 13 kilometers westward of Tyumen is one of the most up-to-date international-class regional transport hubs in Russia. The project provides for expanding the existing airport sites and the construction of new buildings and facilities required for the simultaneous maintenance of two Airbus 320 and Airbus 321 narrow-body aircraft. The total area of the complex will exceed 18,800 square meters.
