Rostec State Corporation and the government of Arkhangelsk region have signed an agreement on implementing the Northern Dvina - LNG project in the region, Rostec informed.
The document provides for building a LNG plant and the transition to liquefied gas for infrastructure facilities and households.
Under the project, Rostec State Corporation will build a natural gas liquefaction plant with an annual capacity of 120 thousand tonnes in the region. The regional government will provide a land plot for the construction. In addition, Rostec will build distributed energy generation facilities based on LNG in hard-to-reach and isolated territories, with an installed capacity of at least 16 MW.
Rostec is a Russian corporation established in 2007 to promote the development, production and export of hi-tech industrial products for civil and military purposes. It consists of more than 700 organizations untied in 11 holding companies specializing in the defense industry, 3 holding companies in the civil industrial segment, along with more than 80 directly managed entities.
