The maximum interest rate on ruble-denominated deposits offered by the largest Russian banks was 7.54% in April 1 to 10 against 7.53% in late March, the Bank of Russia informed.
The maximum interest rate was 7.72% from March 11 to 20, 7.68% in early March.
The highest interest rate in recent years was 15.31% in mid-December when it soared following the Central Bank of Russia's decision to increase the key rate to 17% from 10.5%.
Information on the interest rate is based on data from Sberbank of Russia, Credit Bank of Moscow, VTB, Raiffeisenbank, Bank GPB, B&N Bank, Alfa-Bank, RusAg, Otkritie FC, Promsvyazbank.
