Freight One, Uralchem agree on strategic cooperation

Alexander Sapronov (CEO of JSC Freight One) and Sergey Momtsemlidze (CEO of Uralchem, JSC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement, the parties informed.

The companies will cooperate to ensure timely shipments of finished products from the group's enterprises using the rolling stock of Freight One.

Uralchem, JSC (tax number: 7703647595) is one of the biggest players in the market of nitrogen and phosphoric fertilizers in the Russian Federation and the CIS, with annual production capacities of more than 2.5 million tpa of ammonium nitrate, 2.8 million tonnes of ammonia, 0.8 million tonnes of monoammonium and diammonium phosphate, 0.8 million tonnes of compound fertilizers, 1.2 million tonnes of urea per year. Uralchem's production capacities include the Azot branch (Berezniki, Perm Krai); J.S.Co. Minudobrenia (Perm); KCKK Mineral Fertilizer Plant, OJSC (Kirov region); OJSC Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers (Voskresensk, Moscow region).

JSC Freight One (tax number: 7708643971) is a rail freight operator in Russia established 2007. It currently owns about 195,000 rolling stock units of various types including gondola cars, rail tank cars, flat cars and other types of cars. The company's regional network covers 14 cities of Russia. Freight One is active in Ukraine and has a JV in Finland. The company's share in the domestic market of freight transportation services exceeds 14%.

Freight One is part of UCL Rail, the rail business unit of the international transport group Universal Cargo Logistics Holding (UCL Holding). The group unites several major railway operators with branches all over Russia, stevedoring companies in the north-west and south of Russia as well as Volga Shipping, North-Western Shipping Company, Western Shipping Company and a number of ship-building and logistic assets.

UCL Rail also includes Independent Transportation Company LLC (which owns 100% of Freight One), NTK-Wagon LLC and OJSC Car-Repair Depot Gryazi, a joint venture with JSC Russian Railways. UCL Rail owns a fleet of rolling stock numbering over 210,000 freight cars including about ca. 112,000 gondola cars and more than 55,000 rail tank cars.

IFRS net profit of JSC Freight One for H1 2018 grew by 93.67% to RUB 12.879 billion from RUB 6.65 billion for the same period in 2017. Revenue increased by 9.03% to RUB 51.724 billion from RUB 47.439 billion, profit from operations by 67.73% to RUB 18.445 billion from RUB 10.997 billion, pre-tax profit twice to RUB 16.867 billion from RUB 8.395 billion.

According to AK&M Information Agency's DataCapital information retrieval system, RAS net profit of JSC Freight One for H1 2018 grew by 75.9% to RUB 12.658 billion from RUB 7.196 billion for the same period in 2017. Revenue increased by 10.08% to RUB 51.825 billion from RUB 47.08 billion, sales profit by 78.06% to RUB 12.758 billion from RUB 7.165 billion, pre-tax profit by 77.77% to RUB 16.442 billion from RUB 9.249 billion.
